Privacy policy
BoxiT Storage ("BoxiT", "we") is an app for keeping track of what you pack into boxes. This page explains what we store, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: your boxes, items and photos belong to you, we do not sell them, and you can delete everything at any time.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, a password (stored only as a secure hash), and the name you enter. If you use Sign in with Apple we receive the email or private relay address Apple provides.
- Your inventory. The boxes, box codes, locations, notes and items you create.
- Photos. Pictures you take or choose to attach to items. Camera and photo library access is used only when you tap a button that needs it.
- Technical data. Basic logs needed to run the service, such as request times and error reports. We do not use advertising trackers.
How photos are used to name items
When you use "Scan items", the photo is sent to our server function, which sends it to Anthropic's Claude model to identify the items in it. The response is a list of names, counts and categories that you review before anything is saved. Photos sent for this purpose are processed to produce that answer and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy; they are not used to train models under Anthropic's commercial API terms. You can skip this feature and type item names yourself.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, in a database and private file storage protected by row-level security so that only your account can read your rows and your photos. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not show ads or share data with advertisers.
- We do not read your inventory except when you ask for support and give us permission.
Label links
QR labels contain only a box code and a link to this website. The code by itself reveals nothing; opening a box requires being signed in to the account that owns it.
Deleting your data
You can delete any box, item or photo inside the app. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email info@myoperon.io from the address on the account and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children
BoxiT is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will update the date above and note it in the app.
